GET YOUR YTB SUCCESS by FOCUSING on BUSINESSES

What is YTB SUCCESS, and What makes a person successful in YTB? Many network marketers will tell you that in order to be successful in YTB or any MLM business, you must run through the numbers. "It's a numbers game." While this statement has some truth in it, it's not the whole truth. Running through the numbers means sharing the business concept with everybody without exception and without judgement. While this is a strategy that works for many, I tend to believe that you can slightly alter that strategy and have greater success by FOCUSING on the RIGHT numbers which equals the RIGHT people.

Have you ever heard the saying, "I'm looking for those who are looking for me"? You might not have known it at the time, but what the person who said this has actually done is given you the keys to your YTB Success! Look for those who are looking for you! So WHO is looking for you? Think about it success breeds success. People who are already successful in business tend to affiliate with others who are likeminded: other business people.

Your success in YTB could depend on your affiliation with others who, like you, are business minded, and most business minded people are business owners. Here is a step-by-step approach that I've successfully implemented with business owners that might also consider:

1. List Your Business Prospects. Go through the Yellow Pages of your phonebook or business directory and make a list of prospects. Choose businesses that tend to have lots of traffic.

2. Call for an Appointment. Call and get the name of the owner or manager of the business and speak to them. Tell them that you have a business proposal to discuss with them and ask for an appointment to meet with them.

3. Use Your HOOK. Remember, business people are BUSY. In your first few seconds on the phone with them, you need to give them a compelling reason to meet with you. This is where your hook comes in. My assumption is that business people are in general all money-motivated at some level, so my hook will more than likely always involve something related to their bottom line. For example, you may say something like this: "If I can show you how to add an extra $50,000 to your bottom line in the next 12 months would you be interested?" Sometimes, I'll also add the phrase..."without your having to do anything any different", and it seems to work well.

4. Share your USP in 30 min or Less! Consider each meeting with a business owner or manager as the meeting of a lifetime. Go into that meeting prepared to tap into a GOLDMINE because very likely you will be. You should have the unique selling points about your BUSINESS and YOUR business carefully woven throughout your presentation.

5. Show them The Benefits One critical aspects of your meeting will be to show the benefits of your business. As we know, every person listens to the radio station WIIFM (What's In It For Me) so you need to be prepared to share THE BENEFITS of being in your business. Remember: features describe the attributes of a product or service. Benefits explain the value of those features to the person. Top it all off by sharing the end result which will let them how their life will ultimately improve.

6. Share Your Marketing Strategy One thing you want to do with busy business people is to take the guesswork and the fear that "I don't have time to do this" out of the minds of the people you will be presenting to. How do you do this? By sharing your marketing stragegy and plan for promoting what you are offering. If you can show them how this will be a virtually effortless process for them, you are more likely to get them onboard.

7. Take your 3rd Party Endorsements With You A very important part of any presentation is your 3rd party endorsement. They can be in the form of someone in your upline (Sponsor, PowerTeam Leader, Director, etc.) or a testimonial found in the Success From Home magazines, Circle of Champions DVD, etc. It's always great to share the testimonial or story of someone who is similar to the person you are presenting to so they can more closely relate.

These are the seven basic steps for promoting your business to business people. For more information about this strategy, more specifics on what to say when you meet or how to make the strategy work with your business prospects, contact Regina Osei.

BUILD YOUR YTB BUSINESS WITH THESE 20 GREAT IDEAS

Are you looking for CREATIVE IDEAS to build your YTB business or any business? Some of these just might take your business over the top. Try them!!! I found these ideas on the WAHM site and revised them a bit, but I think they're great. I'll post more in other blogs as I go along. The list is too long to post all at once. If I can assist you with any additional ideas, contact me.

#1. Take a small zip close baggie (snack sizes work well) and include the following in it:

Your Business Card, Business Opportunity Mini Flyer, a Piece of Candy such as hard candy or a lollipop, mini flyer of current specials, discount coupon (optional) etc.

Hand these out to the bank tellers, retail cashiers, at your kids sport events, everywhere you go!

#2. When you stay at hotels & motels leave a brochure or DVD, a business card & maybe a travel special for the maid!

Be creative when you leave tips for Hotel Maids, Waitresses, Waiters, Hair Dressers, etc. Don't just hand them your business card, make it memorable!

Ladies, you can also buy cute little beaded change purses at your local dollar discount store!

#3. Print out flyers with your business contact info, your website address & email address along with any current specials YTB may be offering (Last minute Deals are great!).

Then contact local area mobile home park offices, apartment complex rental offices, housing developments etc and ask them if you can leave fliers in their office or hang on their tenants doors. Give the office employees a free gift (like maybe a vacation voucher). Be sure to have your business contact information on everything you give out!

#4. Contact local area bridal supply stores, bridal gown stores, caterers, tux rental centers, wedding dj's etc. and ask them if you can leave your business cards & fliers about your YTB Honeymoon Registry for them to give to their customers.

Offer storeowners a free gift or a small bonus for helping you spread the word about your business.

#5. Daycare Centers! They are excellent to contact and leave business cards and/or fliers!

Attach your business card to some fliers or brochures along with something of a high perceived value! A GREAT place to get awesome FREEBIES to and printable coupons to give away AND earn extra money is here.

Whatever company you represent, find some things (Disney, Six Flags, etc.) that cater to children or to moms and make up a flier about special pricing there!

#6. A lot of churches hold a spring and Fall Fest! Contact them about getting a table or a booth. A lot of times this will cost you under $15.00 for a space!

Make sure you take lots of VISUALS (play a DVD if possible), magazines, brochures, business cards, and some FREEBIES that you can always have on hand. Get the secret to getting tons of high value items free here: www.thefreesecrets.com

Do a contest drawing at these types of events. Make up entry blanks that gather the customers’ info so that you can initiate contact with them again! Use your vacation vouchers or other great Freebies!

#7. Join your local area chamber of commerce! They are always holding local business events that you can participate in.

#8. College Campuses! Dorms & Housing Students are always looking to spend money! A lot of college students are also looking for an extra income so target them with your YTB Business(or other business opportunities) too!

Drop off fliers and business cards to the College Student Center! They usually have bulletin boards, tables and other things where you can leave your information at for FREE!

#9. Contact your local area Welcome Wagon or Welcome to the Neighborhood Group! Ask them about your leaving DVDs, brochures or fliers, business cards, discount coupons, freebie gifts, etc with them.

They are always looking for additional items to place in their Welcome Bags!

#10. Contact your local area hospitals and ask for Human Resources Dept. The Majority of hospitals hand out New Mommy Diaper Bags filled with products, samples and other stuff for New Moms who just had a baby!

It's FREE for you to add in your information! You can get travel party hosts, new customers and new recruits by participating in these types of programs.

#11. Contact your local medical offices, particularly Gynecology and OB Offices and Pediatric Offices and inquire about you leaving information with them. Of course, you can always leave your magazines! Be sure to include contact information OR a sticker with a message like this on the magazine: "This magazine is FREE.for you to take. If you take it, please call (your name and number) so it can be replaced"

This is another way for you to target Parents of Children with the home party opportunity, the business opportunity and new customer sales.

#12. Donate a Product to your local area Radio Station, they have numerous contests and they are always looking for sponsors!

Your donation can be written off as a tax deduction plus you will get FREE Advertising & Business Exposure for your donation! On this site, you can get free travel items as well as other items.

#13. Donate something (vacation voucher would be great!) to your local area Bingo Halls! They are always looking for sponsors of their Bingo Prizes! Bingo is BIG in a lot of areas!

#14. Call your Chamber of Commerce and find out about Local Area Job Fairs. Get a booth and set up info about YTB!

#15. Call your Local Area Colleges and find out when their next job/employment fair is. A lot of times you can get a booth or table for less than $35 and you will get a lot of GREAT new leads by participating.

#16. Contact local area car dealerships and seek their permission to hand out a small packet that has lots of FREE info AND your YTB business card to give their customers who come in to take a free test drive! (At this FREEBIE site, they are offering -- at the time of this posting -- $50 to anyone who testdrives a Nissan!)

#17. Target your local area gyms! You can get a table space for $20 or less in most cases! Make sure you have great materials on display including the YTB Success Magazine, business cards and fliers. Adding some of your FREEBIES is also a great idea!

#18. Network with others in your community who are in home businesses. Find out what events and activities that they participate in. They are usually "in the know" and can help you get started networking in your community. You may also be able to do some type of joint venture that will benefit and compliment both businesses making it a WIN-WIN proposition.

#19. Contact Companies in your area to see if you can come in and set up a table in the employee lounge or cafeteria for an employee break! These days alot of companies will allow you to do this if you ask them! If you have some FREE GIFTS to share, so much the better!

#20. Does your local area tv cable company have a local information channel? Inquire about advertising! These ads will reach thousands of potential buyers for you! Another twist might be to contact one of the local television producers and pitch to them having you and/or someone on your YTB Team on the show to share with the public about home business ownership!
